【Abstract】
[infectious diseases and microorganism]
Basic information of microorganism (viruses, bacteria, parasites) that cause pathological symptoms in human are outlined.
 
[Battle between infectious diseases and humanity]
Infectious diseases that have affected humankind are introduced. In addition, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases such as MERS, dengue, and Ebola, which have been looked up in recent years are outlined. The lecturer will also pick up COVID-19 as one of the topics.
 
[Basics of vaccine]
The lecturer will give a systematic overview of the vaccines that are currently used, as well as technologies that are or will be used in the future.
 
[Development of vaccine]
The lecturer will give a systematic overview of the development process of vaccine, basic research, clinical and CMC development, manufacturing, and marketing comprehensively. And related regulatory regulations will also be outlined.
 
[Site visit]
All students will visit the Kikuchi Research Center of KM Biologics Co., Ltd. which is conducting vaccine development to learn the facilities of the factory and research institute and have a free discussion with researchers.
