Students will develop as advanced IT specialists and researchers in the fields of information engineering, such as information and communication engineering and computer engineering (which are considered to be fundamental in an advanced information society), and in the fields of mathematical engineering, such as probability analysis and statistical mathematics. Students will prepare to play an active role in a globalized world with a broad perspective and high ethical standards.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Human resources who can respond in a flexible and rapid manner to diverse and changing social demands from a broad perspective by utilizing their advanced expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Human resources with the creative ability to develop new technologies and solve problems.<\/li>\n<li>Human resources who are highly motivated to lead an information-oriented society and contribute to local and international communities. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Education Objectives<\/h3>\n<p>Education is provided as per the following goals to achieve the aforementioned objectives.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Learn advanced expertise in the broad sense of the information and mathematics field, such as information engineering and mathematical engineering, through a six-year integrated educational program linked with undergraduate education.<\/li>\n<li>Develop flexibility, practical and planning abilities, and an entrepreneurial spirit that can be applied in various fields through integrated courses and internships.<\/li>\n<li>Develop communication and presentation skills via presentations at academic conferences both in Japan and overseas.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a spontaneous spirit of inquiry and the abilities to think logically, find and solve problems, and express themselves through the writing of a Master\u2019s thesis.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>What We Offer<\/h3>\n<p>In \u201cspecialized foundation courses,\u201d students will acquire foundational literacy in mathematics, data science, and AI, which is commonly required in the specialized fields of information engineering, mathematics and data science, and semiconductor engineering. In \u201call-department common courses,\u201d students will acquire the ability to understand other practical fields, learn to utilize expertise and technology from a broad perspective, and acquire English-language skills that are required in the science and technology fields. \u201cSpecialized foundation courses\u201d include not only core courses in the fields of software, hardware, computer applications, nonlinear analysis, probability analysis, statistical mathematics, information mathematics, and semiconductors but also foundational courses related to information and mathematics to accommodate students without an academic background in information or mathematics.
