To apply for this scholarship, please have interviews by your supervisor and submit the required documents to Academic Affairs Section of GSST by May 6th,Friday 17:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3010<\/strong>Qualifications of Applicants<\/strong>\u3011<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. GSST full-time students as of April 1st<\/sup>, 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Age: born on or after April 2nd<\/sup>, 1987<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Those who are recipients of any other scholarships are not eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Nationality: must have a nationality from a country which has diplomatic relations with Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. GPA for the past year must be over 2.50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Those who fulfill one of the following language proficiency requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2460Japanese: must have good Japanese communication skills equivalent to or more than N2 level of JLPT(Japanese-Language Proficiency Test).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2461English: must have good English communication skills equivalent to or more than B2 level of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The applicants should have an official score of either TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minimum scores are 72 for TOEFL-iBT, 5.5 for IELTS, and 785 for TOEIC L&R.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3010<\/strong>Scholarship Benefits<\/strong>\u3011<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stipend: -\\144,000\/ month (master\u2019s student)    -\\145,000\/ month (doctoral student)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration: From October 2022 to March 2023 <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Tuition: Kumamoto University cover the tuition fee for October 2022<\/strong> in principle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3010<\/strong>Number of applicants to be selected for recommendation from KU<\/strong>\u3011<\/strong>:  1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  *MEXT will NOT cover the traveling expenses for coming and return to your country after completion of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the applicant does not have a academic record, a letter of recommendation from the dean or graduate school dean level or above of the applicant’s home institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Proof of enrollment (must be submitted by all but newcomers to Japan)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Copy of passport for newcomers to Japan, copy of resident card for non-newcomers to Japan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. A copy of certificate of language proficiency:English: TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, IELTS   Japanese: JLPT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* TOEFL-ITP, TOEIC-IP are not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
