【Abstract】

Students will gain technical English experience while learning how to highlight global issues and emphasize gaps in current research approaches. In addition to being a crash-course in making and delivering oral and poster presentations, this half-week course also teaches students how to distill big topics into presentable parts, construct effecient slides, use effective language, and constructively critique presentations (including their own). Students demonstrate the skills they learned by giving an individual presentation at the end of class on a topic of their choice.
