Announcement of Lectures in English
Global Joint Education Center (GJEC) for Science and Technology will offer the following lecture in English.
【Title】 Exercise of Technical English 1 「Technical English Through Media」
(Note)This course will be held by Zoom. We will announce the details on Moodle later.
*Doctoral students, who enrolled in 2018-2020, cannot register this class, but can join the class as an audit student without the credit. However, if you belong to Well-being Cross-disciplinary Doctoral Human Resource Development Program, you can register the class for the credit only to be considered as a requirement of the well-being program.

【Abstract】
This course has two components:
- Learners will watch and listen to interesting and engaging videos on a wide range of technical and scientific topics, including Biology, Medicine, Physics, Manufacturing science, and Statistics, among others. Videos utilized include popular subjects produced by the journal Nature, National Geographic, TED, etc. Learners will be guided through exercises to help them comprehend the main ideas, build vocabulary, and gain insights into natural English constructions.
- We will closely examine the English presented in technical and scientific videos through transcripts, readings, exercises, partner activities, and group discussions. This will serve to strengthen grammar, listening, and production skills. Participation, critical thinking, and communication will be emphasized.
