Admission Procedure

GelK is a part of International Joint Education Program for Science and Technology (IJEP) on Graduate School of Science and Technology (GSST) of Kumamoto University, and applicant for GelK is required to enroll the GSST first. There are two types of admission examination for GSST, and one is for regular program (mainly for Japanese students) and the other is examination carried out on the basis of IJEP (for foreign students). Application information and form will be found in webpage of GSST.
After the admission to GSST, applicants are selected based on report concerning water environment and score of TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS.

Financial Supports for Student

Student belonging GelK can receive financial supports as below,

  • Travel expenses for presentation at a domestic conference (once for one years)
  • Travel expenses for four-weeks internship (Travel expenses for four weeks)
  • Scholarship as research assistant for private-funded student
