研究紹介

私は、哺乳類と同様に、XX/XY型の性決定システムをもつメダカを用いて(図1)、
環境依存的性決定について研究しています。私は、高温ストレスがコルチゾル量の
上昇やPPARαの活性化を介して、XXメダカの雄化を引き起こすことを見出しています
(図2)。今後は、養殖魚種におけるコルチゾルやPPARαの役割を明らかにし、
魚類における新たな性統御技術の開発を目指します。
